Summary
Add a SummaryA rumor has persisted in the vampire world of a dark slayer—a woman—who travels with a wolf pack and who destroys any vampire who crosses her path. Mysterious, elusive and seemingly impossible to kill, she is the one hunter who strikes terror into the hearts of the undead. She is Ivory Malinov. Her only brethren, the wolves. Long ago betrayed by her people, abandoned by her family, and cast out by everyone she held dear, Ivory has lived a century without companionship or love. She has sustained her sanity by the habit of the hunt and the custom of the feeding. Until the night she picks up the scent of a man, her unexpected salvation. Her lifemate. The curse of all Carpathian women. He is Razvan. Branded a criminal, detested and feared, he is a dragonseeker borne of one of the greatest Carpathian lineages, only to be raised as its most despised—and captive—enemy. Fleeing from his lifetime of imprisonment, Razvan now seeks the dawn to end his terrible existence. Instead he has found his deliverance in the Dark Slayer. In spirit, in flesh and blood, in love, and in war, Ivory and Razvan are made for each other. For as long as they dare to live.

Add a CommentVery disapointing, the story had maybe two good scenes.
I really love this book and all the other books that christine Feehan has wrote because you want to root for the main character to overcome the obstacles they have to face against the mage Xavier and his abominations and to try to kill off the Carpatians who are willing to do anything to get the control from Xavier and save their children and the ability to have children that Xavier took from them by using microbes to destroy the future generations of Carpathians.
Very creative story!
Dark Slayer is #20 in the dark series and rehighlights why I love these stories/characters so much. Dark Slayer pulls together threads from the last 19 books and finally starts to present a full and complete pictures of the carpathian history prior to book #1 Dark Prince. Ivory and Razvan are amazing characters that touch you deeply as they struggle to rejoin society after years of isolation. I loved the zen attitude of Razvan and found it fit his experiences perfectly. Overall, an amazing book that I read in one sitting.
absolutely love her DARK series. her DRAKESISTERS series also very good. one of my very favourite writers.
This book seems to be brining all the threads together.
